I waited a couple of years before buying my female mainly because I had trouble confirming the sex of my male, but now the female she will be 2 years old on the 5th of june so I might get a late clutch if she is redy, the size differential is the thing I keep hoping she will bulk out and put on ten inches before she breeds.I handle my two around once a week, the male is a really nice tempered snake the female is fiesty, at the moment they are in the mood to feed so when they door opens they come over to investigate they arent nearly so bold after they have eaten but they arent really shy my male tends to bask openly during daylight hours even when in shed, the hidebox is used mainly at nights.

:Thanks. I waited a long time for this (at least it seems like it) LOL. I have 5 hogs all together and Huggy is the first of the females that I felt was really ready to breed. I have another female that is technically old enough but is so small, I am still waiting. Elmo took a bit to get in the mood-when I first tried them together, he took one look at this monster female and did all he could to escape from her amourous thrashing. In the end, hormones prevailed! I have had all of mine since hatchlings. I don't really do much with them but feed them - they really are so shy that I don't handle them much. Just feed em, check on them to make sure they are fine, get hissed at LOL and watch them grow.
