Last year mites appeared on my hognose. I bought Black Knight and by direction of other breeders, I sprayed it directly on all snakes. I chunked all substrate and sprayed my floors, walls, and shelves. I haven't seen any mites since. No complications have occured with any animals that were directly sprayed. I avoided spraying the head but rubbed the snake's neck with my hand and some of the spray. I sprayed once a week for three weeks. A light misting of the spray will kill any nearby mites as well as eggs. I swear by this stuff because it works best.
Good luck SPReptile
