do female hogs always have a pre-egg laying shed??????

I have some big fat females that have not shed since before i cooled them in november..they bread two or more times about a mounth ago so I have been waiting for them to have there pre-egg laying shed but they dont look like there going to shed any time soon.. so do i just wait for a pre-shed to put a nest box in or can they lay without a pre-egg laying shed????? can someone help ease my mind!! thanks..
