:Hi Victoria - I can't really answer your question as I only have one little male Western (born 7/14/02) - he eats two pinks a week but perhaps I could move him up to one fuzzy. Interestingly - my 30 inch Amazon Tree boa has a long skinny neck (skinnier than my hog) and she eats two RAT pinks weekly!
Anyhow - the reason I'm replying is I wanted to know what BP and BCI stand for :)
Thanks,
Martha
:I'm about to embark on my first journey into Hogland. I'll be ordering a 9" male western today (provided everything adds up when I talk to the breeder later). I remember catching easterns in the woods back home when I was just a youngin'! I can't wait for the new baby...I could see myself getting several hoggies eventually (I currently own 0.2 BPs, 1.0 amel corn, and 1.0 BCI)
:I've done quite a bit of research on keeping hogs, so I pretty much know what to expect, but I haven't been able to find anything on their growth rate. He's an '01, and only nine inches long, but they say he is feeding on fuzzies. I know there's a huge difference in girth, but my little corn boy is 14" long and only eating small pinks! But anyway, the question: How much length will he put on per month/year until he reaches full growth? When do hogs usually reach their full size?
