Possibly bad. The sudden twitching and rolling over of a pinkie mouse might startle the snake. At least this has been the case in my personal experiences.

See, a little movement might entice the snake into eating--seeing as how out in the wild any and probably just about all mice encountered would be live--but for some reason, at least in my experiences, whenever a pinkie twitches, rolls over, or whatever, the hogs become startled and "snap" away. Perhaps if the pinkie is placed on a flat surface in the deli cup, or in the groove rather, it may remain stationary so as not to startle the snake.

Try it...maybe you'll get lucky and get a pinkie that just breathes.
