You never want to force feed a large meal as it will be very stressful. This is why it is common practice amongst experienced keepers to only force feed the head of a pink or fuzzy. This will get the weak animal some nutrients and not be too much for the digestive tract to handle.
The head is the firmest and easiest part of the body to be force-fed.
