In Reply to: when breeding hogs, should i put male in the females cage? posted by aloreptiles on January 20, 2003 at 18:06:53:

I rotate males (westerns) through female cages..

However many believe chances of successful copulations can be increased when placing a female into a males territory...the male should notice a difference and easily target the female within his own cage.

I have noticed a few instances placing a male in a females cage getting confused where to go due to the females scent scattered all over her cage.

Try both ways and see which works for your animals.

good luck
