Some species can be caught and easily switched over to a life in captivity. Hogs are not normally a good choice. Seasoned people that have kept them for a long time can sometimes even have trouble getting them to eat. I agree with Colchicine. It is the middle of january, any snake you find will most likely not feed for at least another month or two. That combined with the stress, handling, ect. might wear the hog down. I have seen a perfectly healthy hog that was caught one day to a dead hog a week and a half later. Sad, but it happens to the best of us. I would suggest you put it back where you found it and get a CB one as well. Much easier on you...WC's are not easy at all. Andy
