:Happy Birthday!!! That's a sweet gift your girlfriend surprised you with. You do, however, need to keep them apart. Why take the chance - you don't want to look in the tank one day only to find that one had eaten the other -- that would be pretty devastating, knowing you could have prevented it!

By the way, I keep my house pretty cool and I use both an UTH and a small wattage heat lamp. I also keep a UV fluorescent on the tank. I figure they would get that in nature so why deprive them of it in captivity?

:Just wanted to let everyone know what a good birthday I had yesterday. About a month ago my 02 hog died. When I got home from work yesterday my girlfriend surprised me with not one but two little babies. They look great and have already eaten. Any thoughts on keeping them together. They are 1.1 and I have heard different opinions on housing together or seperating them; but would like to hear more. Also which is better, UTH or heat lamp. Thanks for responding. Happy new years to everyone.
