HOWEVER - keep in mind when you make those recommendations, that Hognoses, even Westerns, are not good beginner snakes. It could really stress a beginner out when October comes and suddenly his snake stops eating ... (clearly it even stresses some of us seasoned snakekeepers out) LOL

:At my workplace I recommend Hognoses as good children's snakes, and I am always taking out our western and mexican hogs for them to play with.
:The snakes seem to enjoy the attention, and all of them are very docile.
