I don't think you are starving her, there is a common misconception with herps that the animal's level of interest in food is related to its actual hunger. Many animals are opportunists and will act they are starving so they have more food to store for times when there is no food. I don't see why once a week is unreasonable, I have never fed a snake on a regular basis more than that.
