Everyone seems to be ragging on wild caught animals, and while irresponsibly taking animals in a manner that is not consistent with the way you would conduct such an assingment, it does have its benifits. Look at some animals that are becoming inbred, namely bearded dragons. Their gene pool is rather small as there are no more strains coming in...nothing to mix up the genes a little. You see more defects, more crippling genetic flaws and such. With species that have alot of new blood coming in, you do not see this as much. As well, how do you think they get captive bred offspring? Someone has to buy WC ones and breed them...But that accepted, the species in question is HARD to keep and does not acclimate well as I have been told. Many specimens only accept lizards and are loaded with parasites. They die a short time after brought into captivity, from stress, disease, or some other unfortunate circumstance. Andy
