In Reply to: Eastern Hog Feeding questions. Rodent diet detrimental? posted by primevalbeauty on November 14, 2002 at 21:06:49:
I have 3 baby easterns and live in a place with no toads. I do have 2 live toads for scenting. What works? I've tried everyting. I have had to force feed one. Is this harmful?
:I was wondering how many eastern hog keepers out there have kept them on strict rodent diets. For how long and have any of you noticed any ill effects. Most of my easterns feed well on rat pups but I'm wondering whether their specialized diet of toads and frogs versus rodents will cause any health problems in the long run. Also looking for good hog contacts for trades in info or specimens.
:Thanx,
:Steve
