Legality Question

Are CB gila monsters legal to own in CA?

before eveyone just says "no they are not'" i was reading through the CA code on restricted species which says "(G) Family Helodermatidae 1. Heloderma suspectum suspectum (reticulate Gila monster) (D)," meaning that Reticulate gilas are illegal as they are deemed "(D), Those species listed because they pose a threat to native wildlife, the agriculture interests of the state or to public health or safety" this code if anyone is interested in reviewing it is: California Code of Regulations Title 14 section 671 7 G.

this would suggest to me that it would be legal in CA to purchase and own a CB H.s.cinctum, as the other subspecies is specifically prohibited and cinctum is not mentioned at all in the restricted list.
