I say it was photographed at a zoo or similar facility.
While the nest chamber seems to be too open, the walls of the chamber are fairly irregular and there are roots running through the dirt. In addition the angle of the photo makes it appear as though one were viewing through an "observatrion window".
Either way it is a very charming photo.
