Hi everyone,
I've been something of a lurker here for the past few weeks, and am very interested in these remarkable creatures. After some casual research, I've noticed that Gila prices seem to be quite high compared with many other species. The average price for a c.b. hatchling seems to be in the neighborhood of 1250-1500 dollars. Does this seem figure seem accurate? If so, what factors account for the rather steep prices gilas command. Are there not many breeders, or many specimens available for sale? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

David
