I'm headed to Tucson in a couple of weeks and one of my "missions" is to see Gilas, to see where they live, what size tunnel openings, exposure, where they lay eggs etc.I would like to spend some time at the Az Sonoran Desert Museum and learn what I can there . Is there anyone in particular that works there that would share knowledge about Gilas? I am wanting to build some outdoor pens within a year to house Gilas so any and all info as to their preferred haunts would help my in the design . I plan on taking a large hunting knife with me too-- In case I really do see a wild Gila. I will use the knife to chop off my fingers if I even start thinking about grabbing it!! No - I am not going out there to poach anything! I do want to gather as much info as possible though.
Regards
David
