Beaded lizard questions, please read!!1

I have been really wanting a Gila monster for some time. I recently (last 6 months) have been saving up. I just did resurch on local laws and the Gilas are not going to happen. The city would not even talk of permits. Beaded lizards are legel. So, the question is, would following the care and breeding steps presented in Dr. Sewards book fit the beaded lizard? Also, can any one recommend a good breeder. I am looking for captive raised animals form a good breeder. (is there a Dr. Seward in the Beaded lizard world?) thanks for any info.
