......I am not nearly as familiar with the beadeds as I am with the gilas, so I can't really say much. What I will say is that the relationship between horridum and exasperatum would be the most like the cinctum/suspectum controversy out of the four recognized subspecies of beadeds. I believe alvarezi and charlesbogerti have some significant size and physical differences that would exclude them from the debate. I have looked for exasperatum twice in the region around Alamos, Sonora with no luck, mostly because I couldn't spend more than a couple of days and was there in the early part of the monsoon season.
