In Reply to: nostrils on bull snake seem to covered?? posted by vixen on April 10, 2003 at 01:06:42:

I talked to a woman who worked at a zoo in Washington and also El Paso...now older and retired in my valley. She suggested that I put the snake in a wet cloth bag for 24hrs and place him on the warm end of the tank so to humidify the snake causing the patch of skin to flake and easily be removed. Angel is now in a bag and well see tomorrow night if the bag trick is a success.

:Angel is an adult male bull snake who usually has a veracious appetite. After observing him I noticed that his nostrils seem to be covered. Anybody have any ideas...the vets here in the sticks don't have a clue if its not the normal dog cat horse issue. So that leaves it up to me and ya'll.
