::I recently bought two FB newts. I have them in a 10 gallon tank with a small wisper filter. I have the tank half to three quarters of the way full of water with a medium sized gravel bed and lots of plants. I have a platic corner shelf that hangs right above the water line, so its easy for them to use. I thought that these were mostly aquatic animals but they spend most of there time on the shelf in a pile. The water temp is 70-72, is it to cold or hot? Or do they just like each other? Olso are they a community critter or is it possible I have a pair? Sorry this was so long, but any info would be nice, thanks.

:water too warm...they prefer cooler h20. You can also look on Caudate forum for great help. Caudata.org I believe
