I recently bought an adult honduran. I am a fairly new snake owner. Shortly after getting it home I notice what appears to be a small tear or hole in his skin. This snake does not like to be handled so I have not examined it very closely yet. I am fairly sure that it was not getting live food so I don't think that it is a bite. Will this heal itself, disappear with the next shed or do I need to take some corrective action?
