:Betadine is a broad spectrum topical anti-microbrial and, unlike hydrogen peroxide, it is not damaging to tissue. I would suggest dabbing it on full strength or using Betadine ointment. The redness of the wound may invite further biting as omnivorous reptiles are often attracted to red. For that reason, and to prevent any further stress to this animal, I would suggest a brief quarentine if possible.
