I have one in a Vision 222 cage. It's pretty good. It doesn't get very hot so direct contact is not a problem. I've found you don't need a rheostat for it either. It just doesn't get that hot. Pretty easy to mount too. I haven't used the Pro-Products, so I can't compare.
