Thanks for the advice- have a friend coming over tonight to help me with the situation. I have no trouble holding a snake gently and calmly- however, I have never had to restrain a snake. I think I'll wear a pair of tight leather gloves, combined with the pillowcase idea and a friend to help pry the mouth open. I certainly hope it is still there- he was able to get him mouth finally closed around it - but it still looked like he had a wad of chewing tabaco in his lip. If it's not there when I look, will it pass on through? Thanks for all the suggestions. Sure wish this had happen on any other snake of mine- I have no confidence with GTP's- I'd rather be holding my retic!!! Cynthia
