I've always liked maternal. Mom knows more about it than I do, so why not let her do the job. Too many factors involved in artificial....to me anyway. I'm doing both this year, since my female couldn't get all of the eggs in the coils. I've lost a few in the incubator, but all of Mom's eggs still look great. 11 days and waiting!!
