If you live in a very humid tropical area like...southeast Asia you could keep one in a reptairium.
Chondros have very specific needs, one of them being humidity. Before you purchase one please (for your sake and the snakes) read all you can about their needs. If you don't provide the right environment it may very well die on you quickly. This is not a corn snake :) Rubbermaids set up correctly will do fine for neos and juvies. I keep all my adults in Visions although there are other fine ways to house them. A reptairium is *not* one of them, nor is one the the vertically-oriented glass tanks despite what some inexperienced folks say.
