I keep both chondros and Emeralds (northerns). My Emmys are fine, but very delibrate. Example when my female want to explore my hand she will grip my finger with her head and coil tightly around my hand. THis was scary at first but i now i understand that its how they go about things. They rear up like there going to bite.. but its pretty much all bluff. However I pretty much NEVER free handle them as a bite would NOT be fun.
As for my chondros. They are kiss on the face calm *ive done it* (during the day). I have one that I trust more then any ball python i have had. And the others just as much. Though as most chondro keepers will say, I hardly ever handle my chondros. i would say maybe 3 times a month. But what I love that you dont have to handel them and they wont freak out on you..
But again. these are ALL CBB animals.. most WC are nasty. and babys are usualy very jumpy (expected)
For me I LOVE chondros. And everything about them. To me emmys are just "Impressive" as they are get much larger then chondros. Its quite a site seeing such a big animal on a little branch. Basin even more so those guys get HUGE. But I dont think I will ever have more then 4 or 5 emmys. However I dont think I will ever have enough chondros.
