I use the habistat heat mats and have done for years they seem to work best if inside the vivarium, they wont give much bother and a thermostat will control them well, dont think there will be much to choose from with different brands of heat mat.

:Save the money and go with a human heat pad or even better flexwatt heat tape from http://www.bigappleherp.com
:I use the human heat pads and have not had a bit of problem with them. Make sure that you allow approx 1/2" under the tank for circulation if you use human heat pads.
