..with no ill effects. The trick is to never put it in the cage or in a place where the snakes can come into contact with it. I haven't had to use one for quite some time because I haven't had a mite problem for a long, long time, but the few times I did, the No-Pest strips worked good and were more effective on red mites than anything else I tried. I just cut the strip into smaller pieces and hung it a few feet from the cages...no problems.
:Again, no specific herp data, but notice the difference in tone regarding recommendations for handling, carcinogenicity, etc.
