The biggest problems come in when hybrids are so common that you're never sure if you're buying a pure strain.
I buy two nice looking jungle carpet pythons as pure. They both end up being 25% diamond without my knowledge. I breed them and get babies that look like jungle/diamond hybrids. This would make me pretty unhappy. And soon it can get hard for anyone to breed anything that's a pure jungle.
So hybrids would be great in a perfect world, it's just when irresponsible people start breeding them and not telling people exactly what they're getting that the big problems arise.
