Costa Rica, and most of the other wet parts of Central America.

I've never seen them for sale... the closest I've seen is Glades Herp giving an erroneous listing (as a result of some problem with their listings software) for the related genus Sibynomorphus. And unfortunately I doubt collecting my own would ever be feasible.
