Just because someone has a fear of something doesn't make them retarded. Everyone has a fear of something even if they won't admit it. And if someone being fearful and uneducated about something makes things in your life unique, then I am glad I am not in your shoes. Reptiles are amazing creatures, which are all impressive, unique, and a joy to work with. The love of the snakes makes the reptile hobby unique.
