if you haven't already, still take your snake to the vet. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is NOT a disinfectant, it lyses red blood cells aiding the blood to clot. Use it on minor, oozing cuts. An infection should be treated with antibiotics, and the mouth should be rinsed with a dilute chlorhexadine sol'n (nolvasan)


:My kingsnake ( see appilichicola questions post) is still holding her mouth a bitopen but today she ate two pinkies. I think she was hibernating. I have been putting peroxide on her gums daily, and I looked and didn't see any pus or cheesey stuff. I think she may have just broken a tooth when she struck the glass. She has a vet appointment on tuesday. Should I cancel or wait and see? Thanx
