I've seen about a dozen of these and am certain none of them were over 30".
I just check "The Mini Atlas of Snakes of the World" and they listed 90 cm. as the adult size. I don't know if you're familar with that book, but the adult sizes tend to be more towards a record size than an average size. At least with the species I'm familiar with.
