It wouldn't be a kingsnake there (kings there would be black and white banded).
I can't really think of any snake in that area that would be glossy black. A regal ringneck snake would be dark steely gray above and could have orange/red eyes, but they would have a red underside. A Rubber Boa could be dark olive or brown in color and they can have some orange in the eyes.
