I'd never heard of dimethylglycine before this thread started. Sure, it could be used to treat neurological disorders. But only experiment will tell if it is a better treatment than a sugar pill. And I am not aware of any such experiment having been made or being planned (which is not surprising as I'm out in the boonies).

As for neurological disorders in neonates, I'd try vitamins first.
