It might be, that they are eating frogs, some forms even eat fish. But I really do not recommend this snake for the beginner. There were thousands imported to Europe. I know of nobody, who was able to breed them and rise the young, despite I know at least 30 people keeping them. I think this is enough reason to say, this snake is for specialists only.
In Europe it is not allowed to feed European frogs or lizards, furthermore, there are none in winter time. It is very difficult to find an importer, who safely has this food the whole of the year for a reasonable price. Food from the importer has a higher parasitic load than that taken from nature.
Ahaetulla is very sensitive to stress. Many well looking specimens died short after force feeding.
But I agree, if you are very lucky, you will find snakes, that thrive in captivity. Especially some populations from Malaysia and Java might eat voluntarily.
:I've never come across one that was difficult to feed. Other than them not eating mice, frogs and lizards are taken easily. However, this means high parasitic loads.

::These snakes are not for the beginner. They are difficult to feed. Some specimens can be accustomed to mice, but this is a difficult task. I even doubt, that they are eating frogs in captivity
