Actually the best way to learn to probe is from someone who is VERY experienced at it to teach you. You can damage a snake by doing it wrong. I know in NY there are various herp societies, maybe you could contact the closest one to you and find someone to help you. There are books that can show you how, but like I said it's better for someone to teach you, IMO. Hope this helps some.

:I was wondering if there was a video on how to probe snakes or a book and if so where would I find one also if any one in Upstate NY knows how to probe and wouldn't mind showing me I would be most thankful thanks in advance
