First of all...nobody should get mad at you for asking a question. That's not to say that some folks don't respond rudely to some questions, but... What kinds of snakes are you talking about? I ask because some are more demanding of brumation to breed than others, and that could be part of the answer. Also, are you brumating your female? And...I noticed last year that in the spring lots of sellers of breeding size and age snakes are selling them as "brumated and ready to breed" so you can check that out. Finally, I suppose (hypothetically, in my case) that you could brumate in the summer, but sticking with the natural cycles are probably much more effective since things like photoperiod play a role also. It is so much easier to let mother nature control the photoperiod than to try to do it ourselves. I would think that a summer brumation and subsequent breeding might involve some pretty careful and complicated manipulation of artificial lighting to produce maximum effects. My advice (for what it's worth)...brumate the snake you have and buy one that has been brumated OR...be patient and wait until next year. Again, your species may breed without brumation, depending what it is. Good Luck. Duffy
:LET'S SAY I HAVE A FEMALE, AND I GET A MALE IN APRIL. DO U HAVE TO GO BY ACTUAL MONTHS TO BREED? OR CAN U BRUMATE THEM IN THE SUMMER?
