Depends on who you are asking, some people do this with no problems. But you should quarantine every new animal you get, we do for about 2 months or better when they come home. This helps prevent the spread of disease and mites. We try not to double up snakes at all, but if we have to they are the same species. Also if you house them in the same cage, you MUST separate them at feeding time. If not you might have a disaster on your hands. It's also hard to keep records, if you keep them, with two in the same cage. You never know who shed, or who defecated, etc etc. Just make sure you are not going to overwhelm yourself with two boas though. I know you just recently got your Colombian. Hope this helps some and don't forgot to pick up that book I told you about on the beginner forum, I think you will find it useful! Have a good day!

: currently have a baby columbian (female) approx. 2 ft. in length. She appears to be adjusting well now. She ate without any problems and has stopped gazing at nothing.
:my question is...can two young columbians be house together in the same tank? I see that some people are able to do this, is this ok? I was thinking of getting another baby boa (either a hogg or columbian) and wanted to know if they can use the same tank or do they need their own?
:Also, if it is possible, is it better that it be another columbian rather than say a Hogg Island?
:thanks,
