:He (and I) say that the offspring would be more subject to snake health problems and stuff.

From what basis do you both hypothesize that a hybrid form would be weaker and more prone to disease and congenital abnormalities than a "purebred"? I haven't seen any research on hybrid snakes - indeed, haven't looked - so I'm curious to know why hybridization produces more "freezer bait" than a regular breeding.

:All I'm saying is...Please keep all herps in their real, pure form. They are perfect the way they are. Just because they can/will breed together, doesn't mean they should be.

One wonders about "purity" of any animal in the wild. Do you think they arrived here that way? What is the difference between the world's evolutionary alteration of animals and mankind's accelerated mutation search? Must it necessarily be detrimental, or are most morphs detrimental to the line - not because of their mutations - but because irresponsible breeders practice too much inbreeding to make as many snakes with the desired traits as possible? Are those irresponsible breeders to represent the entire industry? Is a human-bred snake ["designer"] necessarily a weak freak in the natural world?

Questions, questions, questions. =)
