New To Lizards

Looking to buy a lizard that is:
- Tame yet not totally docile
- 1 to 2 feet long
- Easily put into pairs/trios in 1.1 or 1.2
- Colorful
- Total cost (cage, lizard, food, initial setup) less than 600$

I am keeping this for 3 years definately, then most likely giving it to my parents due to my trip to college. I won't abandon it as I have many pets in the house, although none reptiles, that are adopted and I can't do that to an animal.

Once again I am new and I don't know THAT much although I have been doing research for about a month and have looked into Green Water Dragons, BD, Geckos, and Chameleons. I still am undecided and don't know what can meet my expectations. I will do much research before I buy on any sugestions you give me.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!
