Alright I just went through all of my books and found brief info in a book about how a man kept his alive and well. HE kept them for 6 years in sand feeding them by letting two or three crickets at a time run along the surface. Also, they give birth to a dozen or more live young. He fed them worms and crickets. Above is a pic of the giant legless skink, A. plumbeus, reaching 22 inches.
