I would suggest getting your henkeli to a good vet for a checkup as soon as possible...it sounds like something is definitely wrong.
i can tell you for sure that it is not breeding behavior of any kind...my males tend to get more light and bright colored during breeding season, and they are more active and restless than usual...
the darkening of color, lack of energy, and laying on the ground could be symptoms of a lack of calcium, but it would be the best idea to have him examined by a vet that is knowledgeable about reptiles. in the meantime, i would suggest continuing to feed him the vitamin and calcium supplements that you mentioned (although i have used chicken or turkey babyfood instead of apricot with good results as well).
