Sometimes cresteds change color as they mature but they don't usually go from buckskin to red. Sometimes they get less colorful in my experience. If you want to see and compare lots of prices go to kingsnake.com classifieds and you can compare lots of colors and prices there and see what is available. When looking for certain colors I usually buy adults or sub adults.
