I have a tokay gecko and as you probably know he is nocturnal. I had a red bulb on him at night however I noticed that he can actualy see the light (contrary to what others say) because I saw his eye slits become smaller. I figured this was not the best way for him so I got a night bulb that put off a "moon" glow. The one that put off a nice bluish glow didnt come in a wattage above 75 and it wasnt doing a good enough job, the one that I have now, puts off barely any light. My question is this: Is it better for him to have no light at all or some light? I'm not entirely sure how good his vision at night is because in nature they do have moonglow...any suggestions?
