:1. He opens his mouth when hes basking under the heat lamp. This is a sign that it may be too hot for him. They open their mouth to relieve heat. Just like dogs or horses do when they begin to over heat, they will open their mouth, with dogs theyll even let their tongues hang out. nothing big to worry bout as long as you replace the bulb with a lower wattage bulb. try not to use basking bulbs, they give off too much heat, unless u have an large enclosure. try using dayglo's bulbs they work great.

:2. I have some fake plants in the enclosure, and there are these small pebbles glued to the bottom of it, just for looks......well, at night i keep watching him trying to bite it off, and it looks like he wants to eat it....? I feed him mealworms, and crix...aswell as baby-food. (All Dusted!)--this to me is a good sign of a healthy eater. as long as the rocks dont break off! if you think he could actually pull a rock off in time, then remove the plants. if the plants gravel is pretty well glued then dont worry. be glad hes atleast trying to eat.

:.............finally, there is some blood patches on some plants in some places in the terrarium, but i dont see any cuts or wounds on him. Do mealworms have blood? And are they red?--i actually have never seen a mealworm brleed nor would i know if thri blood is red, but i know sometimes animals infested with parasites will bleed at time. if you know he has parasites or think he may, try treating the animal for them, see if that helps. or contact you local vet (one who specializes in exotics)

hope this helps... anyone else's opinion?
