My tokays usually stop breeding in the winter and start again in the spring. That "cooling" period is usually beneficial as they are very prolific breeders and a female can use a lot of herself.
I've never had problems in getting anyone to breed before until this year. I have a three year old female who is rejecting an older male. He is very persistent, calling and wooing, but she is not receptive. There have been no fights. She just doesn't seem interested.
