I had a tokay gecko do the exact same thing. No shed, couldnt climb. I surely thought it was cause by my handling but surely enough I fed it a little extra and it shed within the week. After happily eating its shed it climbed up on the side of the glass and sat next to the bulb for warmth. Just make sure you keep plenty of food on the ground so it can hunt land. I dont think its much to worry about. Structure of their feet is actualy very interesting if you look into it and most will say its nearly unstoppable (it's even self cleaning!!).
